New weighted points system introduced September 14, 2010

If you win a tournament with 16 people in it, it should be worth more points than a four-person competition, right?
That was the logic behind the new system we will be using this year. Here’s the details:
- Board game participation earns 150 points
- Video game participation earns 100 points
- “Small game” participation earns 100 points
- Winning a board game event earns 100 points, or 150 points if more than 10 people played.
- Runners-up get 50 points, or 75 if more than 10 people played.
- Third place winners earn 25 points, or 40 in a larger group.
- Winning a video or small game event of less than 5 people earns 50 points; if 5-9 people play, 100 points; if 10 or more play, 150 points.
- Runners up in video or small game events of 5-9 people earn 50 points, or 75 points if 10 or more play.
- Video or small game events of 10 or more will award 25 points to semifinalists.
Confused? Just ask at a tournament and I’ll explain what is up for grabs!
